At A2 level, individuals are capable of understanding sentences and frequently employed phrases related to areas of direct relevance, such as everyday personal and family matters, shopping, local geography and job related topics. They can communicate through simple and routine tasks that require a basic and direct exchange of information on familiar topics. They can illustrate their background, their current environment and their concerns in simple words. They can establish social contact through basic greetings and courtesy-related phrases, and express their feelings, extending thanks for given situations.
Furthermore, they can ask for a favor, offer one and accept the initiative from others as well. Although they can handle short relations, they may not be able to keep up a longer conversation. By interacting with others in a simple manner, communicative tasks such as suggesting an event, sending an apology, or exchanging opinions can be accomplished. The language used to facilitate this can be kept simple as needed.
Furthermore, plans such as what activities to take part in for the evening or weekend can be discussed, and arrangements for a meeting can be made. Simple phrases can be utilized to request or supply those involved with items, information or next steps in the conversation.
